The Gaggia Accademia is a home espresso machine that does it all. This full service beverage center features seven dedicated push buttons which include espresso, caffe, caffe lungo, cappuccino, latte, macchiato, and hot water. A ceramic burr grinder with 7 grind settings grinds the beans to your specifications. For those who prefer a decaf or halfcaf, a bypass doser is available. Both are located on the top of the machine for easy access. In addition, the Accademia features a unique Milk Management system with a detachable carafe for easy cappuccinos and lattes. The detachable milk circuit ensures that milk never enters the machine thereby eliminating the possibility of old milk contaminating your machine. Three milk selections are available for your convenience: minimal, normal or no froth. Simply detach the unit and store in the fridge until ready to use.
The Accademia features a 15-bar pump and dual stainless steel boilers. The dual boilers eliminates the down time that can be associated with single boiler units when brewing and frothing. In addition, a pre-infusion cycle infuses the coffee grounds with hot water to extract maximum flavor from the beans. A telescopic coffee dispenser can accommodate different size cups with a maximum height of 6-1/2 inches. The Accademia has a 1.7 liter detachable water reservoir with a mavea water filter to prevent scale and mineral build up. The E-plus system allows the user to vary the strength of coffee from mild to strong while the Opti-dose system enables you to control the amount of ground coffee from 7-10.5 grams.
The control panel notifies the user when the machine is out of beans, out of water, when the dreg drawer (spent coffee grounds) is full, or when the machine needs to be decalcified. This attractive contemporary machine has a stainless steel front panel and an easy to read LCD display.
Entertaining has never been easier. Your guests can do it themselves with this gem of a machine, and they will be impressed!
And if you'll be serving espresso, you should serve it in real espresso cups. A coffee cup will pull the heat from your espresso too quickly because of its size, and because of its area, you will lose most of the crema. Most of the crema will stick to the inner surface of a large coffee cup. So take a look at our large selection of espresso cups. And to complete the service of quality espresso, you should also take a look at our large selection of high quality demitasse spoons. It's a nice touch to match the look of your demitasse spoons to your home decor. We have a wide range of designs in spoons from baroque to classical to modern. All are high quality 18/10 stainless steel.
