Vibiemme has upgraded their most popular model to make the Domobar Super Convertible HX. The Super Convertible allows you to convert the standalone system to one that’s connected to water. A lever underneath the machine allows the water source to be switched from the attached water tank to an external water line, and the drip tray has an attachment that allows you to connect it to a drain line. No extra parts are needed to do this conversion (except for the input and output water lines).
All of the Vibiemme espresso machines have a heavy-duty FAEMA E61 grouphead, which maintains an active water flow between the boiler and the group so as to keep the brewing temperature constant – equal to the original water temperature.
The boiler is fully insulated, both to minimize the power needed to maintain the boiler temperature, and to keep that temperature as constant as possible. The heat exchanger coupled to the boiler allows you to pull shot after shot with no variation in the brew temperature.
A power indicator light on the right indicates that the machine is powered on. And a heating light on the left indicates that the boiler is still heating. The machine is ready for use when that light goes off. There is also a “low water level” light in the middle that indicates when the water reservoir is running low.
The Vibiemme Domobar Super Switchable features professional grade brass portafilters that fit the E61 group. You’ll get a single-shot and a double-shot basket, and a blind filter for standard backwashing. The machine comes with a plastic coffee scoop and a plastic tamper. It’s recommended that you get a real tamper to use with this REAL machine.
