The WMF Bistro 2-Step machines are superautomatic (2 step) commercial espresso machines that are built for high volume applications of up to 300 espressos per hour. All WMF Bistro models are plumbed (connected to a water line), and feature 2 coffee hoppers.
The WMF Bistro 2-Step machines (superautomatics) do not have milk inputs, since the milk is frothed or steamed by the operator using the external automatic steam wand. These are called "2-Step" machines because the second step (of the 2 steps) in the preparation of a cappuccino or latte is to froth or steam milk using the automatic frothing wand. Note that the 2-step WMF Bistro takes more power (a 30 Amp line) than the 1-Step WMF Bistro (a 20 Amp line), because milk frothing is done concurrently in the WMF Bistro 2-Step machine.
