Saeco's Spidem Villa is an affordable super automatic espresso machine for those who want the convenience of the automatic features, but don't necessarily want to spend a lot of money.
Some of the features of this stylish machine include Saeco's patented Rapid Steam Sytem® technology, adjustable coffee dosing, adjustable brew volume (amount of liquid), a built-in conical burr grinder, adjustable coffee spout and many others.
Fully Automatic Espresso & Coffee Brewing
The Spidem will automatically grind your coffee beans and dispense freshly brewed rich, flavorful coffee right into your cup. This machine allows you to choose the volume of your coffee or espresso by adjusting the knob on the control panel and ranges from 1 oz. to 8 oz.
Rapid Steam® Technology
Rapid Steam® technology reduces the normal waiting time between coffee brewing and steam output to just a few seconds, so you can froth milk to make cappuccinos, lattes, and macchiato coffee at the simple turn of the steam knob. No need to keep your guests waiting after making espressos for frothing milk. And for your Americanos, teas, or hot chocolates, instant hot water is available at the press of a button!
Adjustable Coffee Spout
The adjustable coffee spouts slides up and down to accommodate different size coffee cups. No more splashes and spillage of your espresso!
Pre-brewing Function
Pre-brewing allows you to get maximum flavor from the brewing process. In the pre-brewing cycle, hot water is injected into the freshly ground coffee to maximize flavor extraction.
Powerful Pump
The Spidem's pump delivers 15 bars of pressure for an excellent espresso extraction. The on-board water pump pulls the maximum flavor from the coffee beans.
Opti-Dose System
With Saeco's opti-dose system, the user can regulate the amount of beans per serving that the grinder will grind by turning the knob. This is adjustable from 6 to 9 grams.
Swivel Base
The Spidem has a convenient swivel base so access to the rear of the machine is as easy as a slight push of the hand.
Ceramic Coffee Grinder
The ceramic grinder is one of Saeco's most recent innovations. After careful research, Saeco chose this material to put an end to grinding with metal components. Ceramic is inert, and thus ensures the best results without altering the flavor of coffee. The new ceramic grinder also provides a more even grind, allowing perfect dosing and blending, and giving you more control over the density and body of your coffee. In addition, the amount of coffee residue left in the cup is sizably reduced. Long-lasting and minimum noise! Thanks to its sturdy build, the ceramic coffee grinder will quietly go on grinding to the same high standard for years to come.
Pannarello Frothing Wand and Hot Water Dispenser
The Pannarello frothing device dispenses steam in three different directions and makes it easy to froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes. It also dispenses hot water for making hot drinks and soups, and is completely removable for easy cleaning.
57 oz. Water Reservoir
The 57 oz. water reservoir can easily be refilled while still on the machine or by removing it and filling it at the kitchen tap. An indicator light will alert you when the water level is low and needs to be filled.
Coffee Bean Hopper and Internal Waste Box
The Spidem Villa holds about 12 oz. of whole bean coffee. The bean hopper keeps beans fresh by protecting them from light, moisture, and air. The "dump box" holds about 15 brew cycles of spent coffee grounds and easily slides out for dispostal of the grounds.
Swivel Base
The convenient swivel base on the Spidem allows you to easily turn the machine for rear access and for cleaning and maintenance.
