Saeco’s Synthia Focus is the newest addition to the super automatic line of espresso machines. The clean curved lines of this machine are a good fit for any kitchen décor, whether traditional or contemporary and its relatively smaller size make it even more appealing. At just over 10” wide, 16.5” deep and 12.5” high, it is sure to find a spot on even the smallest kitchen counter.
Loaded with features, the Focus will grind, tamp and brew your morning or afternoon espressos with a touch of a button. It then dispenses the used coffee grounds into the dreg drawer which alerts you when it needs emptying. The Pannarello frothing wand lets you create your favorite coffee drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos and even has hot water available for tea, hot chocolate or even ramen. An adjustable ceramic disc grinder with automatic shut-off has 5 grinder settings and is safe, quiet and long lasting. In addition, the Opti-dose system lets the user select the amount of coffee from 6.5 - 10.5 grams so you can have either a mild coffee or espresso and the next person can select a stronger coffee or espresso. A removable 40 oz. water tank is accessible from the front behind the frothing wand. An optional water filter is available. A bypass doser on the top of the machine is available for ground coffee – whether flavored or decaf – so you don’t have to change out the beans in the hopper. An attractive tri-colored display is programmable and has easy to read icons. A stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock boiler with Rapid Steam technology ensures you will have a quick warm-up in the morning and minimal down time between making espresso and steaming/frothing milk. The adjustable dispensing head will move up and down to accommodate different size cups and mugs.
