FAEMA was founded in 1945 by Carlo Valente in Milan, Italy. FAEMA became the model and symbol of the post-World War II production boom in Italy. FAEMA was then (and remains today) famous for constant technological innovation and for uncompromising quality and craftsmanship in commercial espresso machines.
In the commercial espresso machine industry, FAEMA is the absolute top of the line. While FAEMA sits at the highest price point, you will get a lot for that price, and you will not be disappointed.
We have separated our FAEMA espresso machines into four sections. The sections are shown above as the "Superautomatic" line, the "Traditional" line, the "Collector" line (the E61), and the "Compact" Line (a 1-Group Enova, and a lighter 2-Group "Smart" espresso machine). In addition, we feature a FAEMA Cup Warming Unit, and a Frigo-Box for holding cold milk.
The FAEMA Superautomatic is the "Grand-Italia" machine, which comes in two varieties (the X1, and the X2), both of which feature push-button ease of use. The Granditalia machines each hold two hoppers of roasted coffee beans, and will automatically grind the coffee of your choice, and prepare your beverage of choice at the push of a button.
The FAEMA "Traditional" line includes two basic designs that span a range of functionality offering various features The "Compact" line is for small commercial espresso machines. The Traditional line includes the Enova and the Emblema, and the Compact line includes 1-Group Enovas (at 110 Volts), and the 2-Group Smart.
The FAEMA Enova line comes in 1, 2, or 3 groups as an Automatic Espresso machine, and in 1 or 2 groups as a Semiautomatic Espresso machine. And the 1-Group Automatic can be ordered with the Autosteam feature. Note that the 1-Group Enovas come as 110-Volt espresso machines, except this particular version with the Autosteam, which comes as a 220-Volt espresso machine. All of the larger espresso machines are also 220 Volt machines.
The FAEMA Emblema line features only automatic espresso machines in 2, 3, or 4-Group configurations. But each of these can be ordered with the standard Italian form-factor (having the groupheads at the standard height for espresso), or they can be ordered with the American "Tall" form factor, in which 16-oz. Cups will fit under the groupheads. Note that the "Tall" form comes with the Autosteam feature for all 3 configurations.
And the FAEMA Smart espresso machine comes only as a 2-group automatic espresso machine. This was the original Giugiaro design - a simple automatic espresso machine with 2 steam wands.
The FAEMA "Collector" line features modern implementations of the beautiful FAEMA E61 espresso machine, which FAEMA brought out in 1961 as a vehicle that revolutionized the features of the modern espresso machines. The E61 line comes in 1 or 2 group configurations, and as either Semiautomatics (the "Legend") or as Automatics (the "Jubile").
