Gaggia's newest espresso machine has finally arrived! The Swing Up is the newest machine in the Platinum series Gaggia has to offer. This stunning machine has a stainless steel front with ABS plastic housing so cleaning it is simple and easy. Simply wipe with a damp cloth. The control panel is on a backlit touch ring and has an LCD digital screen. The touch ring allows the user to scroll through the different programming options available. Other features of this machine include a stainless steel boiler, a Gaggia milk island, (included), E. Plus Beverage Strength System, Rapid Steam Boiler, Pannarello frothing wand and numerous others.

E. Plus Beverage Strength System

This feature allows the user to adjust the strenth of coffee/espresso for each cup of coffee even while it's brewing. A turn all the way to the left makes a weaker coffee while a turn all the way to the right makes a very strong coffee/espresso. Leave the knob in the middle for a regular strenth coffee.

Rapid Steam Technology

The rapid steam stainless steel lined boiler assures the user that you will have no downtime between brewing espresso and steaming milk for cappuccinos and lattes.

Pannarello Frothing Wand

The rotating stainless steel pannarello frothing attachment is very simple to use. Simply fill a frothing pitcher with milk, insert the pannarello frothing attachment into the milk and you will have froth for creamy cappuccinos and lattes in no time.

Stainless Steel Active Warmer

The active cup warmer can be turned on or off by the user. Keep about 4 espresso cups on top of your machine nice and toasty, which in turn keeps your espresso hotter.

Height Adjustable Drip Tray

The electronic cup tray lift system can be raised up and down to accommodate different size cups and mugs. This is a useful feature if you have tall coffee cups. You don't have to tip them to get them out, thereby avoid spilling your coffee.

Ceramic Burr Grinder and 8.8 oz. Bean Hopper

A quiet built-in ceramic burr grinder grinds your beans for the freshest tasting espresso without waking up the entire house! The bean hopper holds about 1/2 lb. of beans and when empty a message on the display will alert you that it needs to be filled.

Steam Nozzle and Hot Water Dispenser

The steam nozzle can be used for steam for frothing milk for cappuccinos and lattes or hot water for making hot chocolates, teas and even soups! Choose either the steam function or hot water function from the control panel.

Opti-Dose System

The opti-dose features lets the user adjust the amount of ground coffee used from 7 grams for a lighter espresso to 10.5 grams for a stronger espresso.

Pre-infusion Brew System Cycle

Pre-infusion allows you to get maximum flavor from the brewing process. This advanced system takes the newly ground coffee beans from the internal coffee grinder and correctly tamps the coffee. The grounds are then gently pre-soaked and then brewed before being discarded automatically into the internal dump box. The machine then resets itself for the next brewing cycle.

Bypass doser

This indispensible feature is one you can't live without! It's perfect for the nights when you don't want the caffeine to keep you up and you don't feel like emptying the bean hopper. Or if you have guests that want a decaf, use the top-loading bypass doser instead. For ground coffee only.
