The Ena 5 in Ristretto Black is the “deluxe” version of all the ENA series machines. It is also one of the slimmest measuring only 9-½ inches wide. If counter space is an issue in your home, this is the machine for you. Equipped with 18 bars of pressure, a professional-grade conical burr grinder, the Dual Frother Plus as well as the frothXPress, this machine will provide delicious coffee beverages for you and your guests for years to come.

At the touch of a button, the ENA grinds, brews and dispenses used coffee pucks in less than a minute. The LCD three-color alphanumeric display shows the current status of the machine such as “Ready”, “Heating” or “Fill Water”. In addition, the different colors indicate the mode the machine is currently in. For example, green display means ready to brew. A yellow display means you have entered the programming mode and the red display means you need to attend to some function on the machine such as empty try, fill water, etc.

Additional features and benefits include:

The ENA is fully programmable. The rotary dial allows the user to personalize the amount, strength and temperature of your cup. In addition, the user-friendly rotary dial lets you override the programmed settings without permanently changing them. This is convenient if you want to change the setting for just one or two cups.
The ENA 5 features two interchangeable frothing technologies – the dual frother plus (manual frothing) and the frothXpress (automatic frothing device). The dual frother plus is for traditional frothing and steaming with your frothing pitcher or coffee cup. The frothXpress automatically siphons cold milk from your container and combines it with steam to deliver frothed or steamed milk directly into your cup. The frothXpress sytem has the advantage of delivering the same amount of hot or steamed milk every time so your cappuccinos and lattes are consistent.
Temperature control - move the dial towards the “+” setting to increase the temperature and towards the “-" to decrease it.

Other highlights include:

Zero energy button /Special energy saving mode programming – The ENA has a patent pending zero energy on/off button which, when in the off position, uses no electricity whatsoever. You can select special energy saving mode to switch to a lower standby temperature ten minutes after you make your last coffee. The ENA heats up within seconds after entering standby mode if you or a guest decide to have another coffee.
Choose from seven languages: “English”, “Spanish”, “French”, “German”, “Italian”, “Portuguese” and “Dutch”.
Select from “continuous-on” or “auto-off” anywhere from ½ hour to 9 hours.
Automatic hot water rinse cycle cleans and preheats all internal parts.
An automatic cleaning cycle indicator prevents oil build-up in brewing chamber. A 15 minute automated cleaning tablet ensures clean inner parts and fresh tasting coffee. No inner parts need to be removed. The display reminds the user after approximately 180 cups of coffee.
An electronic water sensor never lets the machine operate without water.
The ENA will let you know when the used coffee container needs emptying. It holds approximately 12 coffee portions.
Five levels of water hardness settings so you can set the machine to your particular water hardness. Included is a water hardness indicator strip.
Use the frother for instant hot water for tea, soup or Café Americano!
Change the strength or volume of your coffee by turning the rotary dial. Select from three strength settings. The ENA will brew from ½ oz. to 16 oz. of coffee at a time.
A pre-infusion features gently moistens the coffee beans before brewing for that perfect crema espresso or coffee extraction!
A rotating cylinder lets you brew through either one or two spouts.
A height adjustable dual coffee spout to accommodate taller cups.
Removable 37 oz. water container – makes about 20 espressos.
Integrated professional solid steel conical burr grinder with five settings allows you to adjust the grind from a very fine to a very coarse. In addition, the bean hopper holds 7 oz. of beans and grinds up to 15 portions before it needs refilling.
A separate funnel for ground coffee allows you to make a “special flavored coffee” for a guest or even a decaf for the guest who doesn’t want the caffeine.
The ENA Clearyl water care system removes chlorine, lead, aluminum and copper for a better tasting coffee. A special organic additive removes most calcium and eliminates the needs for decalcification.
Electronic ENA Clearyl cartridge change indicator makes sure you always have the best water possible.
An18-bar pump with a 1450 watt stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock ensures you the perfect high pressure extraction time and again!
