Note that each manufacturer has a different idea of what "the right amount" should be. Cafejo and Starbucks both advocate 2.5 ounces of ground coffee for 10-12 cups, while Folgers advocates 0.9 ounces, and Maxwell House advocates 1.1 ounces. Consequently, you will find that the Cafejo and Starbucks packages make stronger cups of coffee.
Also, the Decaf versions will tend to have a little more coffee in them (e.g., 1.3 ounces for Maxwell House) to give them a little more "punch."
These prepackaged portions offer great convenience in an office setting, since no messy measurement is needed. For ultimate convenience, Folgers and Maxwell House offer "Filter Packs." These are self-contained pods which should be placed into the brew cone, and disposed of after use.
With pods, there are no loose coffee grounds, and no mess to clean up. Note that the Folgers pods look like paper filter baskets: the coffee grounds are contained within the base of the paper cone.
For the packs having loose coffee grounds (all Cafejo and Starbucks, the Folgers Ultra Roast, and the Maxwell House Master Blend and Decaf), you will need to use a paper coffee filter.
You can find these in the parent section of this website. Also, don't forget the creamers, sweeteners, cups, and stirrers.
