The Vario is the newest addition to Baratza's line of coffee grinders. Some of the numerous features include a powerful high torque DC motor, german-made 54mm professional ceramic burrs, macro and micro grind adjustments and many more.
German Made Conical Burrs
Manufactured in Germany by Mahlkönig, the 54mm ceramic burrs are twice as sharp as steel and will last much longer. Additionally, they produce much more accurate grinding and will not heat up your coffee beans while grinding.
Programmable Dosing Option
This feature allows the user to program 3 buttons to your specifications. Simply press the start button to dispense the pre-programmed grind of coffee.
Macro and Micro Grind Adjustments
With 230 distinct grind settings, the Vario will suit your needs whether you have a french press or an espresso machine. The grind from 250mm to 1200mm and coarse to fine is possible at speeds of 1.5 grams per second for espresso and 2.5 seconds for french press.
Cool Drive System
The cool drive system consists of a high torque DC motor with an ultra quiet belt drive transmission. Thermal isolation of the motor and burrs is achieved by the German timing belt. This also reduces heat transfer to the beans.
PortaHolder for Hands-Free Grinding
The patented portaholder is included with the Vario and adjusts to any size portafilter. Simply insert the portafilter into the portaholder, press the start button, and walk away! No longer do you need to stand there while grinding beans.
