We have assembled all of the barista accessories that you will need to run your espresso machine and coffee grinder correctly, and to make most of the basic drinks. The Barista package includes:
First, you will get a flat-bottomed coffee tamper. We have 56 and 58 millimeter tampers with rosewood handles (shown) and a 57 millimeter tamper in solid stainless steel. Please tell us what espresso machine you have so that we can give you the right size for your group handle.
Your Barista Package also includes TWO Cocoa Shakers. This way you can use one of them for cocoa powder, and the other for cinnamon. Or use them both for cocoa.
Your Barista Package comes with SIX Frothing Pitchers in three different sizes so that you can use the right size for the right occasion:
Our frothing pitchers are rugged stainless steel with sturdy handles, for years of durable use. It is safe for all milk and soy products.
Next, you get ONE extra deep Knockbox. The dimensions of the Knockbox are 6" X 6" X 6".
Next, you get FOUR Pastry Spatulas. These each have a 6" flat blade on a wooden handle, and are indispensable for holding back (or pushing forward) froth in your frothing pitcher during a pour for latte and cappuccino. See our article "A Dozen Basic Drinks" in the "Barista" section of our articles to understand the use of the pastry spatula (and also the bar spoon).
You will also get TWO Frothing Thermometers to guarantee that you have steamed milk to the right temperature. Each Thermometer comes with a clip, for attaching it to the frothing pitcher.
Next, you get SIX Bar Spoons. The Bar Spoons are each 11" long. These are indispensable for putting the final dollop of froth on top of a latte, especially if you are going to try latte art.
And finally, your Barista Package comes with a flat kitchen timer having a large digital readout. It is a good idea to stick this timer on the front of your espresso machine so that it is always handy for timing your shots throughout the day to see whether you need to adjust your grind.
