The iMini is a conical burr coffee grinder from Ascaso. Its smaller size makes it ideal for the person with the "space-challenged" kitchen or for someone who just doesn't want to compromise their precious counter space with more kitchen appliances. This solid doserless grinder is available in either dark black or polished aluminum.
A knob on the side of the grinder will to adjust the grind of coffee from very fine to very coarse. Ground coffee is dispensed directly into the portafilter or coffee container by holding the portafilter or container against the button on the front of the grinder, which activates the grinding mechanism. A new addition to this grinder is a filter holder guide - two small rods that help guide the portafilter. (Note that these rods are a guide and do not hold the portafilter in place.) We do not recommend removing these rods as it may be difficult to replace.
The body of this grinder is made from aluminum and powder-coated to give a durable black finish (for the dark black model). It also has a small little tray at the bottom to catch any coffee grounds that may be spilt. The hopper is made of clear plastic and removes easily for cleaning and provides easy access to the burrs for cleaning.
